The Bathurst Spring Garden Spectacular was held on 29th/30th October 2011 and was most succesful. The theme was " Les Jardins Enchantés"  (The Enchanted Gardens). From the funds raised we were able to contribute:

 $14,000 to CanAssist Bathurst (see below)

 $3,000 to Bathurst Independent Living Centre (B.I.L.S)

 $800 to Mitchell Conservatorium (to purchase an instrument)

Proceeds from the Bathurst Spring Spectacular will help to support the work of Can Assist, Bathurst.  The parent organisation provides assistance and care to cancer patients and their families through a network of branches and accommodation facilities.

Can Assist provides country families affected by cancer with financial assistance with medical, pharmaceutical, travel and personal costs, as well as supported accommodation at Jean Colvin Cancer Centre in Sydney and Lilier Lodge in Wagga.  A new home-based service, Can Assist Viva Packs provides short-term support of essential services to meet specific needs.
